What are cookies?

Social network cookies:
These are third-party cookies generated by "social plugins" for social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, etc. These plugins consist of buttons displayed on the host site that do not function automatically, but transmit information through cookies only upon user action (click). The button remains active until the user decides to disable it or delete the associated cookie. Once activated, the relevant social network may collect data, regardless of whether the button is actually used. If the user is simultaneously logged in to the social network, the network may link the visit to the site containing the plugin to the user's account on the social network. Cookies used by Google plugins.
