TERMS OF SALE
ARTICLE 1 – DEFINITIONS, OBJECT AND APPLICABLE LAW
1.1 Definitions
In these general terms and conditions of sale:
"Customer" means any person, whether or not they have completed the registration process, who purchases one or more products through the Site.
"M.A.T. srl" means the online store, published on the website www.mat.pd.it and managed by M.A.T. srl, with registered office at Via A. Volta 16 - TEOLO (PD) - CAP 35037, VAT number: 01396200287 – Telephone: +39 049 9902630 – Email: info@mat.pd.it
"Site" means the website www.mat.pd.it
1.2 Selling Party and applicable law to this sales contract
M.A.T. srl will act as the seller of all products and services that the Customer chooses to purchase through the Site and have delivered to their home. The sale of products and the provision of Services purchased through the Site are governed by these general conditions as well as, where applicable, by the provisions of the Consumer Code and Legislative Decree no. 70/2003 and the provisions of the Civil Code, for anything not provided for herein.
1.3 Booking of products through the Site with home delivery
In addition to and as an alternative to the provisions of paragraph 1.2 above, the Site also allows the user to choose to collect the products from a Point of Sale. This will be possible if the customer has a suitable means of transport and upon payment.
The seller, M.A.T. srl or another entity affiliated with M.A.T. srl, as applicable, will be clearly indicated on the receipt and/or purchase invoice issued by the Point of Sale.
If the user fails to collect the products, the reservation will be automatically canceled, without any obligation on the part of the user and/or M.A.T. srl. In the event of supply difficulties or unavailability of the desired product, the user will be notified by M.A.T. srl by email or telephone.
ARTICLE 2 – PURCHASE ORDER, CONCLUSION OF THE CONTRACT, ORDER STATUS
2.1 Offer of products and services on the Site
The offer of products for purchase through the Site constitutes an invitation to offer, and the order submitted by the Customer through the Site will constitute a contractual offer to purchase, subject to confirmation and/or acceptance by M.A.T. srl as described below.
The characteristics of the products and services offered on the Site are described in the relevant information sheets published on the Site.
Customers are informed that the products sold through the Site are not necessarily supplied with dedicated, customized, or particularly aesthetically pleasing packaging. The Customer acknowledges and accepts that packaging has a protective and logistical function only. The Seller shall package each product in a manner deemed appropriate, at its sole discretion, to ensure its integrity and safety during transport, without this requiring the use of specific boxes or packaging for each individual product. Any discrepancies in packaging do not constitute a product defect, nor do they constitute grounds for complaint, dispute, or refund request, provided that the product is intact and compliant with the order placed.
2.2 Confirmation of receipt of the order and its acceptance
After submitting the purchase proposal, the Customer will immediately receive an email confirming receipt from M.A.T. srl and the identification number assigned to the purchase proposal.
The Customer's purchase proposal will be deemed immediately accepted by M.A.T. srl. Therefore, the email confirming receipt will also serve as confirmation of acceptance. M.A.T. srl will directly ship the products purchased by the Customer within the timeframes and methods indicated in these general conditions.
If one or more products included in an order are not available within the delivery times indicated on the Website, the Seller will promptly notify the Customer. In such cases, the Seller will contact the Customer to agree, at its sole discretion, whether to ship the entire order at a later date or to ship it in separate, partial, or staggered shipments. The Customer acknowledges that any delays or split deliveries resulting from product unavailability do not constitute a breach of contract, nor do they automatically give rise to requests for compensation, indemnity or cancellation of the order, without prejudice to the mandatory rights provided for by applicable law.
2.3 Successful completion of the availability check and conclusion of the contract
Upon successful verification of product availability, the purchase proposal will be considered accepted.
2.4 Availability check failed
If the product availability check fails, the customer will receive an email from M.A.T. srl informing the customer that the products are unavailable and that the purchase proposal cannot be accepted. In this case, the customer will immediately receive a full refund of any advance payment, using the chosen payment method, or a shopping voucher for the same amount.
In the case of a Mixed Order, the customer may choose whether to proceed with the purchase of the available product(s) or cancel the entire order. In the absence of instructions from the customer, M.A.T. srl will cancel the entire order and immediately request a refund of any advance payment made by the customer via the payment method used when placing the order.
2.5 Order Status Updates
In addition to the updates that will be sent by M.A.T. srl via email, the Customer can check the status of his order at any time by accessing his reserved area or by making a telephone request or by email to info@mat.pd.it
ARTICLE 3 – PRICES AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCTS
3.1 Prices
The prices of the products offered on the Site include VAT but do not include shipping costs, duties, customs clearance, and/or any other additional services requested by the Customer.
The price of the products and services shown on the Site in the relevant technical data sheets is the price in effect at the time the Customer submits the purchase offer, as displayed on the Site when selecting the product and within the offer itself.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, M.A.T. srl reserves the right to change the prices of the products and services listed on the Site at any time, at its sole discretion, and without notice. Therefore, M.A.T. srl does not provide any guarantee that the selling price of the products or services will remain available on the Site or unchanged for a certain period of time.
3.2 Boxed and non-boxed products
The descriptions, images, technical specifications, and product information on the Site are for illustrative and informational purposes only. The Seller undertakes to provide descriptions that are as accurate and up-to-date as possible; however, it does not guarantee that such information is complete, error-free, or corresponds perfectly to the product delivered. Any non-substantial differences between the descriptions on the Site and the product actually delivered, including, but not limited to, variations in color, finish, size, packaging, or aesthetic details, do not constitute a defect in conformity and do not give rise to complaints, returns, or refunds, provided that the product conforms to its intended use. Product images published on the Site may not be fully representative of actual product characteristics.
3.3 Boxed and non-boxed products
The procurement of certain types of products in large quantities may result in the absence of individual packaging.
These products are identical to boxed products in terms of quality.
We will ensure proper packaging if these products are originally unpackaged to minimize the risk of damage during transportation and handling.
It is essential to check and inform us immediately if the product you receive appears to be damaged during transportation. Complaints and reports made after 7 days of delivery will not be considered.
ARTICLE 4 – PAYMENT
4.1 Accepted payment methods
Products purchased by the Customer through the Site may be paid for using the following methods:
PayPal
Bank Transfer in advance
Cash on delivery (subject to legal limits)

If the Customer chooses PayPal as their payment method, the actual charge will be made immediately upon completion of the order.
At no point during the payment process does M.A.T. srl have access to the customer's credit card information, credit card number, or financial, asset, or personal information. The payment order is transmitted – via a secure connection – directly to the PayPal portal upon customer confirmation.
M.A.T. srl. is in no way responsible and cannot be held liable for any fraudulent or unlawful use of PayPal credentials by third parties during the purchase and payment process.
M.A.T. srl reserves the right to refuse a purchase offer or to suspend the execution of confirmed offers in the event of payment anomalies or irregularities. In such cases, M.A.T. srl reserves the right to request additional information from the customer and/or copies of documents proving ownership of the PayPal account used for the purchase. In the absence of the required documentation, M.A.T. srl reserves the right to refuse the purchase offer or to terminate any contract already concluded, without this giving the Customer any right to claim damages or assert any other claims.
(2) Advance bank transfer
If paying by advance bank transfer, the order will be processed only after confirmation of full payment.
Payment must be made within 2 days of the order date.
To ensure proper order processing, the Customer must include the order number (specifying the e-commerce payment method), date, and first and last name in the payment description.
After 3 days, the order will be automatically canceled.
Availability of the selected product will be assessed upon payment.

(3) Cash on delivery
Cash on delivery is permitted and enabled only for orders with in-store pickup.
4.2 Payment security
For online payments, the data provided by the Customer is transmitted using secure methods that prevent unauthorized access.
The Site is certified by Let's Encrypt Authority X3 (which the Customer can verify using the certificate that appears by clicking on the closed padlock icon in the bottom bar of their browser).
In addition to the above, the application software used to manage the Site uses the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol to encrypt data sent over the Internet, and PayPal for transaction security.
To ensure a secure connection, you must use a browser such as Mozilla Firefox (1.x and later), Opera, Safari, or Chrome, capable of transmitting encrypted data through the M.A.T. srl server.
To find out if you are on a secure connection, simply check that the page address uses the “https” prefix instead of “http” and that the padlock image visible in the bottom bar of your browser is “closed.”
4.3 Payment for products booked through the Site
Payment upon delivery, where applicable, can only be made in cash. Payment by debit card, credit card, or other electronic means is not possible upon delivery, as the Seller and/or the designated carrier do not have a POS terminal.
The Customer is required to provide the exact amount upon delivery; otherwise, the Seller cannot guarantee completion of the delivery.
ARTICLE 5 – DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH THE SITE
5.1 Place of delivery
M.A.T. srl will deliver the products to the address indicated by the Customer in the purchase order.
5.2 Delivery times and storage
For products in stock, the Seller undertakes to ship orders within 3-4 business days of order confirmation, and in any case within a maximum of 7 business days.
This commitment applies exclusively to products actually in stock at the time of order confirmation. If one or more products are not immediately available, the Seller will promptly inform the Customer of the estimated delivery times and any alternative shipping methods, without this constituting a breach of contract or automatic right to complaint or compensation.
In any case, pursuant to Article 61, paragraph 1 of the Consumer Code, M.A.T. srl will deliver no later than thirty days from the day following the day on which the Customer submitted the purchase proposal to M.A.T. srl.
In the event that the products cannot be delivered within the timeframes indicated in the preceding paragraphs, M.A.T. srl will contact the customer within 2 (two) business days of the expiration of the indicated deadline, providing information on the shipment status. This does not affect the Customer's right to a refund and the other remedies provided for by Article 61, paragraphs 3-7 of the Consumer Code.
If some products included in an order are not available at the same time, the Seller will promptly inform the Customer, indicating the available options. The Customer may agree, at their discretion and after contacting the Seller, whether:
- Proceed with separate shipments for products already in stock, or
- wait for all products to be available before making a single complete shipment.
The Customer acknowledges that any split or delayed shipment options do not constitute a breach of contract nor do they entitle the Customer to refunds or compensation, subject to compliance with the general terms and conditions of sale and the delivery times communicated.
5.3 Customer Product Verification and Return Policy
Upon receipt of the ordered products, the customer is required to verify:
(a) whether the number of packages delivered corresponds to that indicated on the shipping document;
(b) whether the packaging is intact;
(c) whether the delivered product complies with the purchase order.
Any defects must be reported in writing by the Customer to M.A.T. srl within 7 (seven) days of delivery of the Products at info@mat.pd.it. The above notification must contain a detailed description of the order error and/or defect, and photos of the product in the event of damage. The Customer agrees to make the disputed Products and shipping packaging available to ensure the eventual collection of the goods. If the complaint is deemed justified, M.A.T. srl undertakes to carry out the necessary procedures to resolve the reported issue.
5.4 Fiscal receipt
The receipt for products (and related services) purchased through the Site will be issued upon shipment and will be included in one of the packages included in the order shipment.
For orders involving multiple products, separate receipts may be issued based on the shipments made (if agreed with the customer as described in section 5.2).
The receipt for products collected by the user from a Point of Sale will be delivered to the customer directly at the Point of Sale.
5.5 Shipping costs
For orders under €150.00 purchased through the Website, a shipping charge of €20.00 will be added to the price of the product purchased by the Customer. This charge is automatically calculated by the M.A.T. srl system, taking into account, among other things, the weight and dimensions of the products. This amount will be indicated on the purchase order before it is sent by the customer.
Shipping costs will be free if the order exceeds or equals €150.00 or if the Customer selects in-store pickup.
5.6 Unavailability of a product
M.A.T. srl is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and to promptly and efficiently process orders placed through the Site. However, it may exceptionally happen that a product indicated as "available" and for which the Customer has made payment when placing the order is no longer available when M.A.T. srl processes the purchase proposal. In this case, M.A.T. srl will immediately notify the Customer via email, indicating the processing times and methods.
ARTICLE 6 – RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL OF THE CONSUMER CUSTOMER
6.1 Pursuant to Articles 52 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the Consumer Customer has the right to withdraw from the Contract within 14 (fourteen) days of receiving the product at their home address, without penalty and without having to provide any reason.
In the event of separate deliveries of multiple products ordered by the Consumer Customer in a single order, the 14 (fourteen) day period for exercising the right of withdrawal begins from the day the last item is delivered.
6.2 The Consumer Customer must communicate their intention to withdraw from the contract using one of the following methods:
(a) by email to info@mat.pd.it
6.3 M.A.T. srl will promptly confirm receipt of the Consumer Customer's declaration of withdrawal via email to the address provided during the purchase process on the Site and will provide the Customer with instructions for returning the relevant product(s).
6.4 Products for which the right of withdrawal is exercised must be returned within 14 days of the day on which the Consumer Customer communicated his/her intention to withdraw, substantially intact, in their original packaging, complete with accessories and any manuals, without any missing parts, to the following address: M.A.T. srl, Via A. Volta 16 - TEOLO (PD) - CAP 35037.
6.4 Shipping costs for returning products are entirely borne by the Customer, as required by Article 57, paragraph 1, of the Consumer Code. The Seller will provide the Customer with all the information necessary to correctly complete the return procedure. The Customer may choose between the following methods:
- Manage the return yourself, personally collecting and handing over the packages to the courier (after properly packaging and protecting the material to be returned – as originally received), regardless of their size and weight;
or
- Request that the Seller's courier collect the products from your home or delivery address. In this case, the costs of the collection service will be communicated to the Customer in advance and will be the Customer's responsibility. Payment for the service must be made before it is carried out. The Seller will not be liable for any delays or damages resulting from the Customer's choice of return method, provided the return instructions provided are followed.
6.5 M.A.T. srl will refund the price paid by the Consumer Customer within 14 days of receiving the returned products and after verifying their condition, using the same payment method used by the Consumer Customer at the time of purchase. The refund process will be based on the payment method used by the Customer when ordering the product.
(In any case, the item must be: intact, without any marks or scratches, unused, and in its original packaging. If even one of these conditions is missing, the refund will not be possible.)
ARTICLE 7 – MODIFICATIONS AND PARTIAL INVALIDITY
M.A.T. srl reserves the right to make, at any time and at its sole discretion, any changes, additions, and/or updates deemed necessary and/or appropriate to the Site, its content, programs, and/or other materials contained therein and/or available through the Site (including these Terms and Conditions).
For clarity, any changes and/or updates made as above will not affect Contracts already concluded with Customers prior to the implementation of such changes or updates.
If any provision of this Agreement is declared null and void, invalid, or unenforceable, in whole or in part, by any competent court, supervisory authority, or administrative authority, the remaining provisions of this Agreement will not be affected.
ARTICLE 8 – COMMUNICATIONS, CONTACTS AND COMPLAINTS
Below you will find the contact details to which you can address any requests, communications, and/or complaints relating to your orders, these general conditions, or, in general, any contract concluded with M.A.T. srl through the Site:

ARTICLE 9 – ADR, JURISDICTION AND COMPETENT COURT FOR CONSUMER CUSTOMER DISPUTES
9.1 Any dispute concerning the validity, effectiveness, interpretation, or performance of each Contract, as well as, in general, concerning the Consumer Customer's navigation of the Site or the use of any functionality made available to the Consumer Customer through the Site, must be the subject of a conciliation attempt, which will be referred to the competent judicial authority of the court of residence or domicile of the Consumer Customer.
9.2 In any case, the Consumer Customer retains the right to appeal to the competent court of his or her place of residence or domicile, regardless of the outcome of the mediation procedure. The jurisdiction of this court is mandatory and cannot be waived in any way.
