CARLOTTA AND SIMONE'S GARDEN
CARLOTTA AND SIMONE'S GARDEN
We had the pleasure of creating a special project for Carlotta Perego, founder of Cucina Botanica, one of the most followed voices in Italy in the world of plant-based cuisine. A bestselling author and passionate educator, Carlotta promotes a healthy, mindful lifestyle deeply connected to nature. Her wish? To breathe new life into a completely unused outdoor space and transform it into a functional urban garden, where she could harvest fresh vegetables and herbs directly for her recipes. After a technical site inspection, we worked together to define the dimensions, position, and orientation of the planting beds. The chosen material perfectly represents the balance between nature and design: corten steel—ideal for gardens thanks to its resistance to weathering, natural aging process, and strong aesthetic impact. We created custom-made raised beds, designed to optimize the available space and ensure ease of cultivation. Every detail was carefully thought out, from the C-folded edge (anti-cut and perfect for integrating internal thermal insulation) to the modularity of the beds, which allows for flexible space management. With the support of a gardening expert, the plant layout was also designed: vegetables, aromatic herbs, and small fruits selected not only for their visual appeal but, above all, for their culinary value. The result? A compact yet complete garden, perfectly integrated into the home environment and ready to provide fresh, zero-mile ingredients. A project that shows how even a small space can be transformed into a great resource.
